Heather Schmitz has been a Paralegal with HWS Law Group since June of 2023, supporting all firm attorneys. She conducts analyses of case-related medical records, works to develop Plaintiffs’ cases, and assists with general case organization and management.  She is actively working to learn new skills to allow additional areas of support for HWS Law Group.

Prior to joining HWS Law Group, Heather worked for 16 years as an independent contractor specializing in analysis of case-related medical records for law firms ranging in location from Seattle to Knoxville.

In her free time, Heather volunteers on the Board of Directors for North Idaho CASA and is a founding and current Board member for the Coeur d’Alene Police Foundation. She volunteers countless hours with the organizations to help ensure that disadvantaged children have a voice in legal decisions impacting them and that first responders have access to qualified mental health providers. In her true free time, Heather spends as much time as possible camping and hiking with her husband and two German Shorthaired Pointers. She also loves to spend time with her two adult sons and is a huge University of Washington Football fan.
