Mariana Bacil Williams

Associate Attorney

Mariana Bacil Williams is an Associate at HWS Law Group based in the Seattle office, where she represents clients in both litigation and transactional matters. Mariana brings a detail-oriented and strategic approach to each case, with a focus on practical solutions that align with her clients’ goals.

Before joining HWS, Mariana honed her litigation and advocacy skills at a boutique law firm in the Seattle area, where she worked on breach of contract, insurance coverage, and construction defect matters. Her experience includes managing complex discovery and e-discovery processes, as well as collaborating closely with expert witnesses across disciplines. Mariana practiced law in Brazil for over a decade, both in private practice and as in-house counsel for a subsidiary of a British multinational mining company. In these roles, she advised on regulatory issues, environmental compliance, contracts, labor law, and corporate governance — frequently working with multidisciplinary teams across global operations. While she brings significant experience in international law, Mariana’s ability to navigate high-stakes matters with meticulous attention and diligence enabled her to quickly establish herself in the Washington legal community, where she continues to deliver tailored legal representation.

Mariana holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Global Business Law, with Honors, from the University of Washington, where she was named a Global Business Law Fellow—an honor recognizing academic excellence and leadership. Her academic background also includes an MBA in Tax Law from Fundação Getulio Vargas, a J.D. from Faculdades Milton Campos, and a B.A. in Social Communication.

Outside of the office, Mariana enjoys yoga, photography, exploring the scenic landscapes of the Pacific Northwest, and spending time with her dog, Rio.
